We have this on our queen bed, which mattress was good but now feels a bit too hard to our aging backs and has saggy spots. This foam topper fixes both issues, as is to be expected. The 3-inch is a good size and it’s a pleasure to sleep — or more appropriately “to sink” — in it every night. At 2.5 lb/cubic ft, the density is medium, which is good enough.
The foam arrived rolled in a big box. It was not as compressed as I thought — some reviews make you think it’s compressed in a dark hole and then will expand to fill your whole house… it’s not that dramatic!
However the smell of new foam toppers is a known issue — all foams I’ve seen do that anyway, it’s not just that one. The original smell is not only nauseating, it gives me immediate headaches. I can’t stress that enough: you must let the mattress air and expand in a *ventilated* non-living area for at least 2 or 3 days before using it. Don’t rush it — in case of doubt, let it air one more day rather than be deceived by the chemical smell, as it will be nauseating at first. Put it somewhere out of sight in a ventilated area, such as in the basement or the garage. If after 3 days you can stick your nose on it and not feel the urge to run away fast, then you can consider moving it in the bedroom.
After a month or so of use, there’s still a slight curious smell the first time I’d get in bed, but nothing dramatic. It’s such a pleasure to fall asleep and wake up on that thing, it’s totally worth it.

The foam topper works great, made my bed much more comfortable. The only down side to it is that it doesn’t have anything that holds it to the bed, and the foam smells for a few days. The instructions warn that it will smell though, and to let it air out. Other than that it is fantastic, and it shipped to me really fast, it got here before my sheets did.
This is a great topper….. left out in the open for 3 days so there was no smell once I put it on…..
very comfy!
The shipping and price are great for the product but the quality is ok. It’s been three weeks now and I can say I do sleep better than I did before but not night and day results like some of the other reviewers.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this foam topper! It truly is Visco and not a cheap knock-off. I tested it by checking my hand imprint and it left one for about 4 seconds. It fully expands when unpacked and shows no signs of being folded up in a box. I read all the reviews and took other reviewer’s advice. I ordered the 2″ foam and couldn’t be happier. It’s like sleeping on clouds! I weigh 104 lb. and wasn’t sure I weighed enough to feel the benefit but I can. The 2 inch foam isn’t too soft or too firm. We have a very good mattress but I felt like it could be a little softer. I was having aches and pains and now I wake up feeling fully refreshed and have no pains. It doesn’t come with a cover so just put a mattress pad over it and your existing mattress so the two become one. It comes with instructions to air it out and I did that outside in only 6 hours. I will NEVER be without this again. If it wears out, I’ll just get another one from this same company. Don’t hesitate to order this because it’s a VERY SMART buy!
I DID SOME RESEARCH AND READ REVIEWS PRIOR TO BUYING THIS TOPPER. I WASN’T SURE IF 2 ” WOULD BE THICK ENOUGH BUT IT IS AND I CAN’T BELEIVE HOW MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE IT IS AND HOW MUCH BETTER I SLEEP. VERY SATISFIED.
I purchased this topper in the 1st part of January. It is comfortable to sleep on and the “chemical” odor disappeared within 24 hours of airing. The downside to the mattress is, it does not hold up to active sleeping. The topper is splitting in two areas. I would have expected it to hold together longer than two months.
I love this item and can’t get out of bed now. Make sure you air it out and order a size up as it does not fit if you order the real size!!
I actually bought this mattress on overstock for about 79 dollars…make sure you buy one size up then cut the excess with a sharp kitchen knife. This topper is not too soft, not too firm. If you have bad joints from RA or some other medical condition, I would highly recommend a memory foam topper. It relieves any pressure off the joint so that you don’t “feel” the mattress underneath you.
I got this with free shipping and a $25 off promotional deal and I wake up rested rather than achey and in pain. My mattress is SO old that sometimes you’re just laying there and all of a sudden a spring pops. I would wake up with back ache and pain, and not rested at all.
This topper makes a world of a difference, and I don’t know how I would sleep without it now, but I gave it three stars because the jerks at Serta force you to buy one size up resulting in more revenue for them. I have a queen size but I had to purchase a king size topper, and it still doesn’t even fit right. You are going to be short on either the head/foot, or the sides of your mattress.
I’m not that tall, so I covered my mattress with it so that the head/foot would be short a couple inches on each end. The best part is, the damn thing overlaps on the sides, so this may not work well for you if your sheets already fit your mattress tightly.
I don’t know where these Serta geniuses got their sizing pattern from, but it’s not very efficiently done. How hard is it to just get the sizing right? Effing jerks.

Hi its actually not a review but a question to anyone who has purchased this product. It shipped by DHL but it came within a standarad Brown packing box with no warranty card or anything. The foam was wrapped in polythene along with the cover. I was expecting it in a box with the brand name and a warranty card like the same way you purchase from any store. I am not sure whether its a new one or a refurbished /old one. let me know if anyone got it the same way.
I’ve had it about a month now, to replace the “replaceable” pillow top on my mattress (the “Nautilus” company went belly up, so I can’t get a replacement pillow top from them).
The foam topper is already starting to get a permanent dent where I sleep and sit alot with my kids (laptop, bedtime stories, etc). I would hope that the brand name, expensive memory foam wouldn’t lose its “memory” so fast – maybe it’s just cuz this one was so cheap.
We ordered this topper to actually go with our existing “generic” memory foam mattress which was a bit on the thin side (an impulse purchase we made when our old high-end spring mattress seemed to be sagging). Our plan had been to place this topper on top of the flipped over existing “generic” memory foam mattress and see how it went. All in all it wasn’t a bad idea, but it definitely created a very soft mattress – not so good. After some debate, we decided to try putting this new topper on top of our old high-end mattress and see what happened. Oh. My. Gosh!!!!!!! It is like heaven! Our original mattress was nearly $4,000 – and from what we’d read had begun to break down way too early. This new topper has probably added 5 to 10 more years of use. It is very thick, very comfortable, just great to sleep on!
It truly is the full 4 inches thick. There was very little of the “weird odor” typically associated with memory foam, and something that impressed me was that the entire foam was truly white – none of the yellowing so common with memory foams. Also, straight out of the box, it laid out completely flat within an hour of unpacking it.
The description doesn’t make it clear, but the memory foam DOES come with a mattress cover/pad. It is of excellent quality – none of that weird netting-like flimsy side tuff you usually find with an “included” mattress pad. The elastic seems to be nice and strong too and the entire thing wraps very nicely around the memory foam and the existing mattress.
I honestly do not think you will find a better quality memory foam topper and mattress pad for a comparable price anywhere else. If you are in the market for one, this is the one you want. Oh, and added bonus, it shipped and arrived very quickly. We had it within 4 days of placing the order. So kudos to the seller as well. Definitely one of the best purchases we’ve made this year.
I didn’t know exactly what to expect when I purchased this memory foam. The old saying “You get what you pay for” kept running thru my mind. I was pleasantly suprised. DHL delivered 1 week ahead of schedule. The seller has fantastic communication skills. The mattress has a slight oder when first opened. Like it’s new smell. I opened it up and laid it flat on my existing mattress. The foam flattened out and expanded to full thickness within a couple of hours. This mattress is a FULL 4″ thick piece of 100% Visco Elastic Memory Foam NOT just a thin layer!!!! AMAZING VALUE HERE!! I couldn’t have purchased an item of this quality for under $500.00 any where I have looked. Unbelievable Value!! Sooooo Comfortable to sleep on. I wish I’d had this 10years ago. My back and corpal tunnel hands LOVE IT!! Product arrived okay but topper was, and still is, too smelly with chemical odors to use. Topper was stained when it arrived. Topper does not go to edge of mattress. Bad product, needs to be removed. I would not recommend buying this product. A waste of $125.00.
