Then I moved cross country and left my foam topper on the other side of the US (Pacific Coast). I just bought one from another retailer (C*stc0) and it smelled to Formaldehyde. :(<br /><br />I remember Formaldehyde was used in the older formulations of paint I made at work. The Formaldehyde is used as a Fungicide or Biocide to deter bio-contamination. So let it air out (or 'off-gas' as we say in chemistry) outside before you use it. <br /><br />I bought it because it was so great to sleep on and my back missed it sooo much. It made my bed very comfortable, so it was hard form me to kick people off the bed when I wanted to sleep! So I had to give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. :)<br /><br />Now that I'm on the East Coast my back was killing me and I went to purchase the foam topper.
