  For several years I’ve been sleeping on a wonderfully comfortable 2″ temperature foam mattress topper that I ordered from QVC. It felt like sleeping on a cloud. My only complaint is that I wake up in the middle of the night sweating.
  So when I was replacing my mattress set, I decided to see if there were any cooler foam pads out there. I did some research and settled on the Aerus brand. When I was ordering my new mattress set, the sales manager warned me that sleeping on a new mattress that wasn’t broken in yet, could be uncomfortable for the first few weeks. Well, I put my new Aerus foam topper on it, and slept like a baby the very first night. I haven’t been waking up hot and sweaty at night, and am hoping this continues into the winter when I use more covers. Ironically, the winter was when my previous topper seemed to make me sweat even more. I do have to say that the Aerus isn’t as dense as my other temperature foam pad, and I do prefer the more dense feel. When I’m climbing into bed to read, I feel like it’s like trying to move around in sand, definitely not as easy to maneuver. But once I lay down, it’s very comfortable, and I’m sleeping great. I’ve got the sleeping on a cloud feeling without the excessive heat. What more can you ask for!

  Ordering the 2 inch topper was a mistake. It does not feel any different. If you are planning to purchase a topper, I would suggest a 3″ topper. It did not smell at all, neither did the cover. It was easy to place in the cover and I like having the extra cover for laundering.

  Foamex 2″ Aerus NaturalTM Eco-Friendly, Cooler Sleep, Memory Foam Mattress Topper with Ribbed Knit Terry Velour Cover – Queen Size

  This was a good purchase, however, next time I would go with a thicker pad as we used this on a camping trip and in between matressess. Was cooler than tempurpedic foam but not truly cool. Get the King if you have a queen sized bed/space as it is really a queen size. Knit cover is very nice although a bit difficult to put on so get another pair of hands to help.

  I purchased this topper for my toddler son’s full size bed. His mattress is very firm, and I end up sleeping next to him part of the night most nights. Every day I’d wake up stiff and sore. After researching dozens of memory foam toppers, I selected the Foamex Aerus 2″ cooler sleep topper with velour cover. The Foamex Web site says their foam has better airflow and captures less heat than other foam.

  Topper arrived yesterday — and I love it already! The full size completely covers the bed (some toppers are cut smaller). The white cover, once washed, is very soft and a perfect fit. The 3 sided zipper makes it easy to insert the topper. The foam is a pale blue-green due to a special eco-friendly manufacturing process. It had almost zero odor, so I was able to put it on the bed right away. This particular topper has a 3 lb density.

  I slept great last night (and my son is still sleeping!) — this topper really transformed the bed. It may now be as comfy as our $1700 Heavenly Bed (which hopefully I’ll get to spend more time in one day soon). Highly recommended!

  I was a bit skeptical but boy, this is one helluva bargain. Plus theres the added bonus of not having to deal with annoying salespeople in the store. Moving it alone AFTER you’ve unwrapped it is a bit of a pain (I had unwrapped it and let it air out in another room). I bought new 400 count sheets and gel-filled pillows and and my total was under $600 which is like hundreds of dollars cheaper than the piece of crap Sealy I saw at the store. I sleep like this zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Highly recommended.

  I have to upgrade my room before I will try the mattress, but I have to leave a feedback about the delivery.
  I placed the order Saturday night and the mattress arrived Monday 3PM, the estimated arrival was 8-10 days!!!
  That was just a shocking, super fast arrival, even a local mail can not come so fast. WOW!!!!!
  I hope the mattress just as good as the shipping.
  I have to rate it 5 star because of the seller’s amazing service.
  I will update you later when I upgrade my room and start to using it.

  This is a very UNCOMFORTABLE mattress. My husband tried it for a few hours and he had to go see a chiropractor the next day. The foam doesn’t let you move and you are just sleeping in a hole and even the pillow sinks. The smell is another story. After reading the reviews we decided to let it air out for a whole week but even after doing that it still smells awful. Finally we want it to return it and found out that there is a 20% restocking fee and we should assume the shipping back to California. WHAT A DISSAPPOINTMENT!!!!!

  I bought a memory foam mattress because I wanted something that wasn’t going to require special delivery. I live on the 4th floor. I wasn’t really sure about this mattress, because I’ve tried memory foam toppers that felt nothing like the tempur-pedic mattresses that you’d try at a Brookstone, so I was worried that this might be another sham product. I was very pleased to find out that it felt exactly like the name brand product. Furthermore I was relieved to discover that it is a solid mattress that keeps it’s shape, it’s not like a flimsy futon mattress.

  I had this a week after I ordered it, which is amazing considering its’ unusualy shape. While carrying the mattress alone up 4 flights of stairs was a challenge, it was not an impossible one. I was able to pick up the 80lb cylinder it came packaged as, without having to drag it on the floor. I’m only 135lbs.

  I’ve heard people complain about the smell, which is reminiscent of latex-paint, but honestly it’s not that bad and it’s not permanent. You are buying a product that was vacuum sealed after manufacturing for easy transit and hasn’t had any air on it yet. You need to let the thing air out for a day or two with the windows open. Spraying some fa-breeze on it certainly will help get you on it sooner.

  I usually sleep during the day, because I work a night shift. On my old click-clack (sleeper sofa) I used to wake up every time I’d shift sleep positions and it would take me several minutes to fall back to sleep. On this mattress I sleep solidly. My boyfriend didn’t wake me when he left the bed either.

  I recommend this to anyone who has tried the tempur-pedic, liked it, but baulked at the price they were charging. This mattress feels exactly like tempur-pedic with out the high markup and high delivery charges.

  This pillow is not as good as others I have slept on. I wish I would have just gone to a store and picked one out. To me it just seems like a different type of foam, the shape is nice , but it doesn’t do a very good job of molding around my body as other memory foam pillows have that I have tried. Please go and hand pick a pillow out at a store.

  Memory foam is quite a wonderful invention. I truly believe it is the softest surface I have ever slept on in my life! I discovered it personally in Memphis, Tennessee at a Days Inn – liked it so much, we came home and purchased one for ourselves. It’s fantastic.

  I like it fine..but I wish it was just a little less firm. I sleep well with it and as they say, it contours to your head as it warms up. All in all I’m not sorry I bought it but if you like a soft pillow..pass on this.
  UPDATE. I’ve had this over six months now and I’m still not used to it.. It’s just not at all soft. I can’t redomend it unless you like a really firm pillow.

  I was really skeptical about this memory foam stuff, but the day I got it I wanted to try it out. So I laid down and watched some t.v. the last thing I remembered was thinking to myself “the memory pillow isn’t….” I woke up a few hours later after a very good nap.

  If you’re looking for a foam pillow with that distinctive wave contour, this one is pretty darn good. Keep in mind, though, that this isn’t a Tempur-Pedic or other such name brand, so it’s not something you’ll be pressing your hand to and seeing a handprint, as the above image suggests. It’s about a third of the price of the name brand, which is nice. The foam does mold to your head and the contour offers great support for me. The foam is comfortable despite a bit of an odd packaged smell that (purportedly) will fade over time. I’ve had mine for a week and I’m enjoying it.

  This was my first purchase from Amazon.com and I am very pleased. I purchased two queen size 1 1/2″ Aerus mattress toppers for our guest rooms. The price was extremely reasonable and the shipping was free. Each guest mattress is firm and older but still in good condition. The memory foam was cut true to size and completely covered each mattress. I slept on one to try it out. The topper has greatly improved the quality of my sleep on this older mattress. It conformed to my body’s shape giving wonderful soft feeling comfort and support and sprang back to its original shape when I got up. It was like a new mattress. Our guests may never want to go home!

  This is a very nice quality mattress topper; a better alternative to foam. Absolutely no odor. Very comfortable, works like memory foam-bounces back into shape.
  Be sure to put it under your fitted sheet as it has no cover and can only be spot cleaned.

  I had trouble deciding which one to buy with all the choices out there, so I simple love my new 1.5″ Aerus NaturalTM Eco-Friendly, Cooler Sleep, Memory Foam Mattress Topper – Queen Size
  I was having trouble falling asleep and then waking up at 3:00 AM., always feeling so uncomfortable. I didn’t have to buy a new bed to get a good nights sleep. I am an older woman and now I sleep like a baby, the 1.5 thickness is just right and the price is better than other ones I looked at on-line and in stores.
  A very happy and well rested sleeper. P.S. my husband likes it too.

  We recently purchased a new bed, having to trade in our super soft but back-ache inducing soft bed for a firmer one. I really missed the soft feel of the bed and so ordered this; it makes all the difference! The perfect combination of softness and support – I highly recommend it!

  My old mattress was hard and lumpy. My back was killing me. Faced with disposing of the old mattress and replacing it with a pillow-top style for hundreds of dollars and hours of labor or buying a piece of foam to put on top for the fraction of the price, I went this route.

  The 1.5 inch thickness allowed me to tuck it under my fitted sheet. Although these foam toppers can be many times thicker, I have never felt like it was bottoming out. This is the perfect thickness. As soon as I tried it out, my eyes closed and I felt so relaxed. Unlike an ordinary mattress, my weight is more evenly distributed. I don’t feel pressure points and flat spots. My back felt better after only one night. As far as comparing memory foam to a pillow top mattress, it’s a tough call. Pillow top is a bit more firm.

  Other foam products have received negative reviews for the odor. I suppose any new foam product will have a slight odor to it. This one had a “new car” type of smell to it and the manufacturer says it will dissipate in a few days – but, I don’t find it all that bad.

  For the price, this can be replaced every few years if it becomes stained or ripped.
